I want to personally thank everyone for the support you have shown to the Gay Riviera over the past two years, we have strived very hard to provide the community with a high quality and inclusive experience for everyone here on the sim. Why is the Gay Riviera closing? This has a been a difficult decision to make, but after four years of running clubs and sims, I feel like it is time for me to focus my energy elsewhere.

Don’t worry, there are not big tales of drama or horrible things that have happened… just time for me to do other things. For those of you who know me well, you know that I am just finishing up my final weeks of school and I will soon be taking on new challenges and projects in my life. As we celebrate the 2-year anniversary of the Gay Riviera, it seemed that this was the most appropriate time to announce the sim’s closing.

Naughty or Nice Holiday Hunt Kick Off

Beware!

This October, a foreboding fog has shrouded the Gay Riviera and spooky spirits have materialized on the sim. The Halloween flair includes the Mystery Mask Hunt from October 13th to October 31st and a Haunted Masquerade Party with DJ Zann Baxton on Sunday, October 14th from 4pm – 7pm SLT. It’s going to be spine-chilling good fun.

Mystery Mask Haunted Hunt

In the shadows a mysterious shopkeeper emerges asking for your help.

Evil spirits have stolen and hidden his Halloween masks and it’s up to you to find them!

Grab a Magic HUD at his Masks of Mystery shop and begin the search, but beware! The evil spirits are watching you and will try to trick and scare you. Do you have the courage to find them all?

If you do, the shopkeeper will let you pick an amazing gift from his prize room!

Tricky Treats

You won’t be alone in your search for the missing Masks of Mystery, the shopkeeper has also called upon friendly ghosts who have seen where the masks have been hidden. They have stashed a surprise and clues to the masks locations inside Tricky Treats.

Grab a candy bucket from the Masks of Mystery shop and prowl the streets collecting the treats scattered all over the Gay Riviera! Will you fill your bucket and collect all the clues and surprises?

Haunted Masquerade Ball & Beefcake 2012 Halloween Preview Party

Join all your spooky fiends at a grand Masquerade Party in the graveyard as the demonic DJ Zann spins some macabre tunes to rattle your bones! Congratulations to shaneboy, the August Beefcake of The Month.

Shane was at the Beefcake of the Month Bash so he also received the L$1,000 prize!

The competition was stiff (possibly the finalists too), and the candidates were all neck-in-neck,  but in the end Joe took home the title. Joe will represent the Gay Riviera for the next year and go on to compete in the Mr Gay SL competition. Best of luck to you Joe, we are all rooting for you.

Congratulations also to our first runner up, Chris Magic and our 2nd Runners up ( there was a tie) Jude King and Larz Kas.   You guys all did great!
